Dear Ambrose Community,
As we head into the Thanksgiving break, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for our wonderful school community. Thank you for your partnership and the many ways you contribute to making our school a welcoming place. The Ambrose staff is grateful for our strong connection between home and school. This connection truly helps every student succeed.

Enjoy the upcoming break. I hope it provides you time to rest, recharge, and enjoy moments with family and friends. We look forward to welcoming students back on December 1st. Wishing you a warm, peaceful, and happy Thanksgiving.
With gratitude,
Mrs. Phelan

Report Cards: December 5th

Dear Families,
We are excited to share some updates to our elementary report cards, beginning this term. Our goal continues to be clear, meaningful communication about your child’s growth across both academic learning and social emotional development.
Report Card Updates
This year, we have refreshed the report card to:
  • Strengthen the alignment with the Massachusetts State Standards
  • Include progress indicators for some of the Social Emotional Learning (SEL) standards
  • Clarify and fine-tune the wording in our progress descriptors

The overall structure of the report card remains the same, but you may notice some changes. These changes were made to provide greater consistency and to help families better understand their child’s progress.

Progress Descriptors
  • Meeting the Standard (M)
  • Independently Progressing (I)
  • Progressing with Support (S)
  • Making Limited Progress (L)
The chart below defines each descriptor and shows examples of what these levels might look like in the classroom. We hope the revised language and new examples make your child’s progress easier to understand at a glance.
Thank you for your ongoing partnership in supporting your child’s learning. If you have questions about the report card or about your child’s progress, please reach out to your child’s teacher or principal.
Warmly,
Mrs. Phelan

Toys for Tots December 15th

Toys for Tots Collection

Thanks to Evie Galetta we are excited to participate in Toys for Tots this year! Please send in your new, unwrapped toys be to dropped off at the main office through December 15th. There will be a large collection box located in the foyer. This is a wonderful way for our students to experience the joy of giving.
Thank you for helping us make a difference in the lives of others. Our school community continues to show such kindness and care, and I am so proud of the example our students set when they reach out to help others.

Important Reminders

Pets on School Grounds
For the safety and comfort of all students, dogs are not permitted on school property. We understand that many children are fearful of dogs, so we kindly ask that you refrain from bringing pets during arrival and dismissal. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
Lost and Found
To help us return lost belongings to their rightful owners, please be sure to label all of your child’s items with their full name. Last year, we donated many gently used items—beautiful coats, sweatshirts, and sweaters—to ENKA simply because they were unclaimed. We’d much rather return them to you! Please note that all items will be donated at the end of each month.
Thank you for your help! 😊
