Husky Herald

k
Hello all,
We are excited this week to begin the next step in our school mascot naming process!

Over the past few days, students were given the opportunity to cast their votes and help determine the name of our school mascot. It has been wonderful to see the enthusiasm and engagement around this effort, and we are grateful to second grade student, Ella Yang for helping to lead the process.

We will announce the name of our beloved Husky at our upcoming All School Meeting on 4/17. Stay tuned for updates.

Please have your student wear blue and white or their Husky wear on Friday, April 17th for Spirit Day!

Enjoy the moments of the weekend!

Make A Wish Club at WHS

Dear Families,
We’re excited to share a fun, district-wide event coming up this spring!
On Sunday, May 17 at 4:00 PM, the Harlem Wizards will take on a team of Winchester teachers and staff at Winchester High School. This high-energy, interactive game is being hosted by the WHS Make-A-Wish Club and Best Buddies to support a great cause.
This event is designed especially for our elementary and middle school students and families—expect basketball tricks, big laughs, and plenty of crowd participation!

We are excited to share this new journey with you and answer any questions you may have!

Summer Enrichment Classes

 Summer Enrichment Classes

Hello Parents and Caregivers!

Below you'll find a link to our list of Summer Enrichment programs for 2026. Registration forms are linked for each class. Classes will run if there are enough students signed up to meet the minimum requirements. Once a class has enough sign-ups, a confirmation email will be sent with directions for making a payment.

Registering for a class is committing to the class, even though payment comes later.

Please reach out to summerprograms@winchesterps.org with any questions!

Important Reminders

Pets on School Grounds
For the safety and comfort of all students, dogs are not permitted on school property. We understand that many children are fearful of dogs, so we kindly ask that you refrain from bringing pets during arrival and dismissal. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
Lost and Found
To help us return lost belongings to their rightful owners, please be sure to label all of your child’s items with their full name. Last year, we donated many gently used items—beautiful coats, sweatshirts, and sweaters—to ENKA simply because they were unclaimed. We’d much rather return them to you! Please note that all items will be donated at the end of each month.
Thank you for your help! 😊
